I say, there is only you I go to,
when I need a hand to hold onto.
You think it’s untrue And point my pens and notebooks
I use as an alternative for you.
I nod in agreement just to tease;
Yet after rolling years,
as if you hear it the first time,
you color your feelings blue.

This poem came to me as I shot this muse of a couple on the cobbled street of Brussels in 2019. I hoped then that I'd be this lady with my partner someday in some far away less-crowded country. Such a sweet reminder that small moments like this matter the most. Especially small yet collective moments that embraces the journey of growing old together amidst all the highs and lows.
